A list of some major Saudi Aramco projects executed, especially under Turnkey Contracts, during the past ten years period
1. PIPE LINE REABILITATION PHASE V PROJECT -QATIF
The project which has started on April 9, 2007 and will be completed on June 9, 2009, requires rehabilitating 46" to 48" crude oil pipeline which spans from Qatif to Safaniyah (Approx - 150 km).
2. KHURSANIYAH OIL FIELD PROJECT
Description of scope of work: The scope of work at Khursaniyah Oil field consist of 110 Well Head piping for Oil, Water Injection & Water supply well sites and construction of approximately 300 KM pipeline size ranging from 8” dia to 36” dia. This work also involves the entire Electrical, Instrumentation, communication and Fibre Optic cable net work, associated with the above mentioned facilities.
3. PIPE LINE REABILITATION PHASE IV PROJECT
Description of scope of work : A major Pipeline Rehabilitation project for upgrading and replacement of the existing 40”,42” & 48” oil pipelines. The total replacement work involves is 150 KM. The work involves approx. 2.5 Million cubic meter earth work for pipeline Right Of Way, trenching, backfilling, berming etc. Also it involves major thrust boring work for the pipeline crossings at various highways.
4. ONSHORE MAINTAIN POTENTIAL PROJECT @ QATIF AREA
Description of scope of work: Installation, Testing & Pre-commissioning of complete facilities on 12 Ea Oil Drill sites and 16 Ea water injection drill site, consisting of 92 Ea oil/water injection well head pipes, flow lines flow lines header and oil truck lines and W.I Flanks and scraper receivers and scraper receiving facilities. The work involves the installation testing and precommissioning of the entire mechanical piping. Electrical, instrumentation & communication requirements and also involved thrust boring /HDD work Duet bank works.
5. KHUFF GAS PROJECT CONSTRUCTION
Description of scope of work: This is a 5 year contract work, with additional 2 year optional extension. The scope of work involves the installation, testing and pre-commissioning of Khuff Gas well site facilities, construction of all civil/structural, mechanical piping, electrical & instrumentation work and flow lines and trunk lines works. As per Saudi Aramco's minimum guaranteed work, it is expected a minimum 50 Ea Khuff gas well site and all associated work during the duration of the contract.
6. ONSHORE MAINTAIN POTENTIAL PROJECT @ SOUTHEN AREA
Description of scope of work: This is a 5 year contract for the construction of Oil well head, Flow lines and Trunk lines, W.I well heads, Laterals and Header at various Saudi Aramco operational areas. This is a WUR type contract.
7. SHAYBAH OIL FILED DEVELOPMENT
Description of scope of work: Provide all necessary equipment, tools, manpower, supervision and technical assistance for the development of Shaybah oil field. Construction of approx. 400 KM of access roads at Shaybah Oil Field, construction of approx. 250 well pads for drilling of il, gas and water wells. Supply all logistical and support service to carryout drilling work.
8. OIL PRODUCTION FLOWLINE & TRUNKLINE PROJECT @ HARDAH INCREMENT –II
Description of scope of work: The scope of work includes the installation, testing and pre-commissioning of 32 Ea Oil well head piping and its flow lines and trunk lines along with all the associated facilities. The work involved a very big quantity of rock trenching by blasting and a number of thrust boring for pipelines crossings underneath the Govt. Highways.
9. WATER HEADER REPLACMENT PROJECT @ ABU ALI
Description of scope of work: This is an LSTK project and the scope of work involved is the detailed design, complete materials procurement, installation testing, Pre-commissioning and commissioning of a new water header line with all it's buried portion constructed using RTR pipe and fittings of size ranging from 24” to 42” approximately 12 KM and its above grade J.O lines constructed using carbon steel piping. The entire portion of the RTR pipeline buried in an elevated Sabkah Pad constructed under the contract scope. The scope of work also include fully dedicated impressed current Cathodic Protection system, Design, Procurement, Install, Test and commissioning as an added scope during the course of the construction period.
10. REHABILITATIOIN AND INTELLIGENT SCRAPING OF QASSIM CRUDE OIL PIPELINE
Description of scope of work : The scope of work under this contract with Saudi electricity company was consisting of the Rehabilitation and Intelligent scrapping of the 180 KM long 28” existing pipeline sections from Saudi Aramco AYIL pipeline pump station to Qassim power plant. By conducting the instrumented scrapper run, the condition of the existing pipeline is assessed and later on the sections which are not within the acceptable limit was demolished and removed and replanted with new section. For the entire length of replacement sections, ROW is reconstructed.
11. PIPELINE REPLACEMENT AND MAINTENANCE @ SOUTHERN AREA
Description of scope of work: The scope of work under this project includes the Replacement and Reconditioning of the corroded section of various pipelines under Southern P/L department. The scope also includes the refurbishment and reinstallation of sectionalizing valves and its associated instrumentation and electrical work also.
12. EAST WEST PIPELINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
Description of scope of work: The scope of work under this project constitutes the rehabilitation of East/West pipeline by replacing & reconditioning the sections and all its associated facilities including the renewal of sectionalizing valves, scrapper traps etc. Repair and refurbishment of the existing ROW is also a part of work under this project.
13. CONSTRUCTION OF VARIOUS TRUNK LINES @ SHAYBAH FIELD
Description of scope of work: Construction of Trunklines and Test lines. Construction of approx. 150 KM of 24” dia U/G Trunk line to transfer crude oil from different tie-in locations. Construction of approx. 40 KM of 36” transfer line for gas oil separation plant 2 & 3. constructioin of approx. 120 KM of 20” & 16” U/G Trunk line to Shaybah GOSP-1, 2 & 3. Installation of 6 metering skid with all piping, power and communication systems. Installation of 6 test skid with all U/G piping, connections and power systems at different locations.
14. UBTU-3 GAS PIPELINE SECTION REPLACEMENT PROJECT
Description of scope of work: The scope of work involved the replacement and recondition work of corroded sections of UBTG-3 Gas pipeline and affiliated pipelines. The work also involved refurbishment of the existing ROW, replacement of existing sectionalizing valves and its associated electrical instrumentations works, renovation and up gradation of scraping facilities, P/L testing, drying and nitrogen purging and Lay-up and pre-commissioning of the system etc.
15. ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENATION AND RTU/SCADA SYSTEM FOR SHAYBAH OIL FIELD
Description of scope of work: The scope of work under this project includes the Instrumentation, RTU's & SCADA works related to 47 oil wells distributed over 18 different Sabkah in the Shaybah oil fields.
